Tapped Screening

Maude Barlow came to Guelph to introduce a scheduled screening of “Tapped”, an educational film about the negative environmental and social impacts of the bottled water industry. Previously Wellington Water Watchers had organized an outdoor documentary series in partnership with the City of Guelph, with ‘Tapped’ one of the films scheduled to be screened. When Nestl√© Waters heard about this, they sent a letter of objection to the city which then cancelled the event. In response, the Council of Canadians, Wellington Water Watchers and the Central Student Association showed the film at the War Memorial Hall at the University of Guelph.
